SWAT Access provides high quality, IPAF accredited training courses and certification at our dedicated training centre.
IPAF – The International Powered Access Federation is a body whose function is to promote the safe and effective use of powered access on a worldwide basis. IPAF was founded in 1983 as a non-profit organisation and represents the interests of manufacturers, users, rental and training companies and distributors. The training programme for platform operators conforms to ISO 18878 and is certified by TÜV.

At Swat Access, we offer a wide range of IPAF Courses, all held at our dedicated training centre off the A59 bypass. All courses are carried out in small groups, which allows us to provide individualised and in-depth training to all candidates.
All of our instructors are committed to ensuring that IPAF standards are met at all times and maintain Continued Professional Development, on an annual basis.

When you book your IPAF training course, not only do you get the best in high quality training but you also learn in the comfort of our dedicated indoor training facility.
Our well-lit and heated training facility features comfortable seating and a large screen LCD TV for high definition video playback as well as a tea/coffee area for refreshments during your IPAF course.
Candidates who successfully complete their IPAF Training will be awarded the Powered Access Licence (PAL) which now comes in mobile app form as standard. The PAL Card is the most recognised and widely held proof of training for MEWP operators.
IPAF licences are valid for five years and detail the categories that the operator has been successfully trained in. This can be verified by contacting IPAF directly.
